Overview

Health is a precious commodity, if not the most precious. For years, however, neurological diseases that can lead to permanent disability have been on the rise. As a result, the need for neurological rehabilitation is growing. This development requires highly qualified specialists who can guarantee comprehensive care for these patients, because the most important goal of neurological rehabilitation is to lead patients back to participation in public, professional and social life, so that they can master their everyday lives again as independently as possible, depending on their individual situation.

In order to meet this demanding challenge, you will be supported on your way by an internationally researching team of professors who are in demand due to their extensive expertise in this field and who are involved in numerous forward-looking research projects. Thanks to their knowledge and experience, their spirit of research and their passion, thousands of patients have already been helped on their way to participating in public and social life.

Programme structure

You study with us in a full-time study model and benefit from the practical experience that our professors and lecturers bring with them and pass on to you within the framework of application-oriented teaching. Thus, role plays, case studies and first contacts with patients are integrated into the teaching. In addition, your studies will take place part-time, in the so-called part-time study model. This means that in the first four semesters, your classroom lectures take place twice per semester for one week (Mon.-Sat.) each time. This makes it possible to combine your studies ideally with your professional life and your private requirements.

Regular participation in the annual congresses of neurological rehabilitation also offer you the opportunity for professional networking as well as scientific and practical exchange. Furthermore, we offer you the opportunity to participate in regular evening journal clubs, where the latest study results are discussed online.

During the 4th semester your 6-month internship will take place, but under certain conditions you have the possibility to shorten the regular study duration. You are welcome to contact us at any time. The internship in the last semester gives you the opportunity to directly enter the working world, to build up important networks, and thus to secure ideal starting conditions for your career entry.
