Part 2: Entrance examination A written and oral exam (basics of music theory, ear training; for non-pianists: basic piano skills), approx. 90 minutes, on site or via video conference A live performance on site or via video streaming of three pieces or parts of works from at least two different cultural traditions as well as an own composition or improvisation with a minimum duration of 20 minutes An oral interview (to assess the applicant’s creativity, personality, motivation and knowledge of music history), approx. 20 minutes The duration of the entrance examination is determined by the admissions committee.
